Yellow Jacquard

(Zara dress, Zara sandals, Proenza Schouler PS11 clutch, Cartier watch, Chanel necklace)

Happy Monday!  Despite the rainy gloomy weather here in LA, I have for you a bright summer look.  I guess this year's April showers were a bit postponed.  A few weeks back, I needed a dress for a wedding.  As soon as I laid eyes on this yellow jacquard dress at Zara, I knew it was "the one."  It was going to be a beautiful outdoor wedding at the London hotel in West Hollywood, so I was looking for a happy color to lighten up the event -- without stealing the bride's thunder, of course.  I normally don't wear heels that are less than 4 inches, but I tried out these mid-heel sandals from Zara and found them to be very comfortable and great for everyday wear. :)

i'm back

Splendid jersey scoop neck tee,  old Zara oversized blazer, NastyGal Search and Destroy Skinny Jeans, Zara sandals, Givenchy Nightingale bag, Cartier watch, Ray Ban shades

Hello, i'm back! Sorry, I know.  It's been a very VERY long time since I last posted.  The past two months have been crazy for me as I had so many events to attend -- weddings, proposal events, etc.  Looks like my friends are starting to get hitched one by one!  I am so very happy and excited for them -- now, I'm not the only that's married! :)

Anyway, enough with the love life.  Sunny LA is back!  And I def took full advantage with whites & neutrals.  I was heading out to the Grove in West Hollywood with my husband and wanted to wear something chic and fresh.  Pulled on an oversized ivory blazer over my basic white tee and paired it with some destroyed washed denim for a bit of edge.  Then, went for nude sandals to "neutralize" the look ;)  What do you think?

Easy Chic

Sorry for the lack of updates!  I've been overwhelmed the past couple of weeks with work and stress.  I didn't have time to update a look of myself, but still wanted to squeeze in a little inspiration post.

Today, I pulled together a look that's easy, chic, and fun.  Stripes have always been one of my favorites, and especially with the weather in LA going back and forth, you always want to go for the best layering piece.  So here, I incorporated a striped tee with a quilted biker leather jacket and red skinny jeans.  I also added in the new PS13 from Proenza Schouler, which I am in love with!!

The big twist in this outfit, however, is the shoe!  If you haven't heard or seen yet, the Senso Qimat Booties are hands down the cutest and budget-friendly statement booties I've seen for spring/summer.  Here, I picked the white just cause it gives this ensemble a more fresh and updated look, rather than the expected black.

Remember, don't forget the bold lipstick!  It's always best to add in some lip color when having bare minimal makeup on the face. :)

Golden Touch

Coat by Lumiere, BDG Destroyed Denim from Urban Outfitters, Celine tote, Aldo pumps, Ray Ban sunglasses, Hermes bracelet

Hello all!  It's been so long since my last outfit post.  I've been so busy lately -- going to Vegas for the WWD Magic tradeshow and on top of that, another trip with my girlfriends.  Overall, I had a great two weeks, but I was sad I couldn't fit the time to work on my blog :(

Anyway, here's a chic look I wore on a sunny, but chilly day.  All black with a contrast faux leopard fur and leather sleeved coat, accented with gold accessories.  Let me know what you think! ;)

Delpozo Fall 2013 Collection

This was a collection that really caught my eye.  Delpozo is a Spanish label based in Madrid and created an amazing fall 2013 collection.  All pieces look so crafty and defined, notice the detail of each garment!  I'm in awe of the architectural design of all the pieces in the collection -- so feminine and soft yet fresh and creative!

the natural way of feel

Mom's vintage rust knit jumper, Cotton Candy chiffon maxi skirt, La Mer watch, Alexander Wang Diego bag, Hermes bracelet, Jeffrey Campbell booties

The Natural Maxi -- It's such a great piece to wear day to day.  You might think a maxi skirt is a trend you see mostly in fall but it can be worn for many occasions.  I pieced my skirt in a very boho look by adding a warm rust vintage sweater and floppy hat.  I originally wanted to wear it with a bustier but it was way way too cold.  I'll wear that when summer nears! (PS. A great outfit for Coachella ;))

Something Borrowed

Thrifted cable knit sweater, H&M boyfriend jeans, Proenza Schouler PS11 clutch, Ray Ban sunnies, Zara heels

Happy Friday everyone! Today's post is yet another casual chic look where I paired my boyfriend jeans with a thrifted green cable knit sweater.  Were the jeans borrowed, perhaps from my husband?  They may seem so, but they're actually a pair from H&M (sold as the "Boyfriend" fit.)  You might have seen them on celebrities a few years back, like Victoria Beckham or Rachel Bilson.  Yes, they are back in trend, and it's always fun to wear them when you're sick of wearing the same old skinny jeans. I made it a very casual look by pairing them with an old green sweater, and to create a look even more put-together and chic, I slipped on my neon yellow Zara heels.  What do you think? :)

Street style exotic

Gap t-shirt, Nameless aztec print cardigan, Urban Outfitters boyfriend shorts, Alexander Wang Diego bag, Converse chucks, Ray Ban sunnies

A hot style that's in trend right now has to be the aztec print.  The unique African-inspired pattern definitely brings a cultural edge to your look.  Here, I wore my Aztec print cardigan with a basic tee and shorts look.  It makes my casual look so much more fashion-foward and adds another dimension into the outfit.  Any comments or thoughts? :)

Retro chic

J Crew oxford shirt, OVI blouse, Uniqlo polkadot pants, Celine bag, Celine Audrey sunglasses, Hermes bracelet, Aldo pumps

Hello! It's been a while since I posted up an outfit.  Today I have for you a fun but chic outfit.  I am in love with these polkadot pants I got at Uniqlo from my New York trip.  I bought both colors, black and khaki (black worn here) cause I loved them so much.  The polkadots add a little retro into the classic outfit.  Not only do the polkadots show some playfulness, but the pop of coral adds a little more extra into this look. :)

Whats in the bag

In case you're wondering what I can fit in my Proenza Schouler PS11 clutch:

A mini iPad
Celine Audrey sunglasses
NARS Pure Matte lipstick (Madere)
Bobbi Brown creamy concealer
Kiehl's lip balm
Chanel No. 5 hand cream

It's not much, since it's just a clutch, but these are the essential items I carry with me ALL the time.

Nameless neon yellow sweater, American Apparel leggings, Ray Ban aviators, Balenciaga bag, Givenchy & Hermes bracelets, Isabel Marant sneakers

Hello there!  You know those days you're just lazy, you want to be really comfortable but you don't want to look like you just got outta bed?  Well, here's an outfit you can try out.  I'm pretty sure you have at least one bright, almost too bright you're afraid to wear out kindda sweater in your closet.  Well, this is the sweater you want to throw on with a pair of edgy leggings and some wedge sneakers.  Ta da! You have an edgy casual outfit -- chic and cool, but most importantly simple and comfortable. :) PS. don't forget the accessories and sunglasses!
